Rainmelon Studio is a New York-based creative studio operating at the intersection of art, technology, AI, and visual culture. Led by visual artist Jingyi Zhang, the studio explores how intelligence-both human and artificial- can shape new forms of perception, storytelling, and experience.
The practice spans AI-driven visual direction, generative systems, interactive installations, and experimental image-making, blending aesthetics, code, and data to create resonating projects/products.

INTRODUCTION

“The Museum (ice-cube) of Unmourned Things” is a poetry-photography project by photographer Jingyi Zhang and poet Lifei Cheng, curator/researcher Ann Wang. Emerging from shared memories across East Asia and the Americas, the project explores impermanence, femininity, grief, desire, and the emotional residues left within landscapes, weather, and everyday objects.

I contributed photographic works, visual sequencing, image-text composition, and publication layout design, shaping the relationship between poetry and image through spatial arrangement and editorial structure. Through the interplay of text, typography, and photography, the project creates a form of visual dialogue where poems and images continuously reflect, interrupt, and reframe one another.

Conceived as both publication and exhibition, the work unfolds as a drifting archive — mapping an intimate topography between memory, body, language, and place.
